10 January 2008	TD report and minutes of the General Assembly of of the 2007 Asian and Oceanian Championships in Seoul. Minor update of January ranking list to fix points of Carla Azevedo in women class 2 who had her points split under 2 names. This mirror site has been accessed by 48 countries so I think the information was well relayed, if you have your own web site or forum do not hesitate to mention the mirror. In the meantime, I have ordered another option from our domain registrar called "web forwarding". 2 January 2008	Here is the official adjusted ranking list that includes the point adjustment for men class 5 and 10 and that will be used for Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games selection. You can report errors until January, 10^th, pre-selections for Beijing 2008 will be published on January, 15^th. Updated list of certified classifiers. 25 November 2007	Announcement of review of classification. During the Italian open tournament in Lignano a review of the class of Alain Pichon occurred. In the European Championships a protest against that decision was launched by Poland. Pending the time until the athlete has been seen again he is placed back in the previous class. The reclassification assessment must have taken place before the end of the year according to the time schedule of the selection officer. The results will be announced.

28 June 2007	The Tournament for men’s standing classes scheduled to be held in Kish Island in the Islamic Republic of Iran has unfortunately been cancelled. This has been necessitated by the small entry of players. For those of you who have paid entry fees to the NPC of the IR Iran, please make contact with the organisers about refunds and we are sure that you will be assisted. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank the organisers for their hard work.

8 March 2007	Communication from Jiri Danek, tournament officer. After the deadline of 1^st entry of Iranian Open 2007, Organizer had only 17 registered players. It wasn't enough for the organization of an IPTTC tournament. Organizers asked me to move their tournament some months later. After consulting Alison Burchell, TD and Silas Chiang, Asia & Oceania Representative, we agreed that we really need a tournament in this region and we proposed new dates: August 1-6. 28 February 2007	The America´s regionals 2007 will be in a multisport games in Rio de Janeiro. As the OC decided not to charge any fee to the participants, the entries are limited but with a higher number than in the past editions (128 Players). The Americas Table Tennis Committee settled up a system to allocate the slots per country: English version, version en Español.

17 February 2007	Added Hong Kong Open documents to calendar. Please read this important note about the regional championships 2009, the deadline for sending the (new) application form has been set to June, 30^th this year. Additionally, here is a summary of basic conditions required for a regional championship.
16 February 2007	Arafura games have been approved as a factor 20 tournament. The Arafura Games is an open invitational event to all countries. There was some confusion because it will incorporate the Oceania Paralympic Championships (2 tournaments in 1 basically). All entries will be competing for Arafura Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, but only those athletes that hold an IPC classification from within the Oceania Region will receive Oceania Paralympic Medals (or both) depending on where they finish.

2 February 2007	The regional championships for Africa, as part of the All Africa Games, has been taken off our tournament calendar. This has been necessitated by the fact that unlike in 2003, the Supreme Council of Sport in Africa on the recommendation of the organisers in Algeria decided not to include table tennis and 2 other Paralympic sports but to include 2 new team sports. Thus the IPTTC is searching for a new candidate to host the event as a matter of urgency. If you are interested, please ensure that your NPC makes contact with our Tournament Officer as soon as possible.

Announcement of review of classification.
During the Italian open tournament in Lignano a review of the class of Alain Pichon occurred.
In the European Championships a protest against that decision was launched by Poland. Pending the time until the athlete has been seen again he is placed back in the previous class.
The reclassification assessment must have taken place before the end of the year according to the time schedule of the selection officer.
The results will be announced.

Communication from Jiri Danek, tournament officer. After the deadline of 1^st entry of Iranian Open 2007, Organizer had only 17 registered players. It wasn't enough for the organization of an IPTTC tournament. Organizers asked me to move their tournament some months later. After consulting Alison Burchell, TD and Silas Chiang, Asia & Oceania Representative, we agreed that we really need a tournament in this region and we proposed new dates: August 1-6.

As the OC decided not to charge any fee to the participants, the entries are limited but with a higher number than in the past editions (128 Players). The Americas Table Tennis Committee settled up a system to allocate the slots per country: English version, version en Español.

Arafura games have been approved as a factor 20 tournament. The Arafura Games is an open invitational event to all countries. There was some confusion because it will incorporate the Oceania Paralympic Championships (2 tournaments in 1 basically). All entries will be competing for Arafura Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, but only those athletes that hold an IPC classification from within the Oceania Region will receive Oceania Paralympic Medals (or both) depending on where they finish.

The regional championships for Africa, as part of the All Africa Games, has been taken off our tournament calendar. This has been necessitated by the fact that unlike in 2003, the Supreme Council of Sport in Africa on the recommendation of the organisers in Algeria decided not to include table tennis and 2 other Paralympic sports but to include 2 new team sports. Thus the IPTTC is searching for a new candidate to host the event as a matter of urgency. If you are interested, please ensure that your NPC makes contact with our Tournament Officer as soon as possible.
