The organizing committee of Czech Open 2013 has decided to move the deadline of the 1st entry to May 31st and the deadline of the 2nd entry to July 15th.
It is with great sadness that the PTT Division learnt of the passing of Margita
Homolova on Friday. Margita has long been a member of the PTT family arising out
of her work with the Slovak Paralympic Committee. She has been a classifier, secretary
to the tournament committee, technical delegate as well as part of the team management
for the SPC. There is no doubt that her heart has always been with PTT and the disabled
in general and that she committed a large part of her life to this service.
Margita has been suffering from cancer for several years but she kept fighting till
the end. Many would have seen that she was a TD in 2012 and she was scheduled to
be one in 2013. This epitomises Margita, her commitment and her spirit.
We convey our deepest condolences to her daughter and family as well as to the Slovak
Paralympic Committee and Slovak Table Tennis Association.
She will be missed.

With effect from 1 January 2013, there will no longer be a bronze in all ITTF PTT events. There will therefore be 2 bronze medals awarded. However, this will not include Paralympic Games and other events not under the jurisdiction of the ITTF.

Following the review of the tournament credit decided in London during the Paralympic Games, the following will be the tournament credit to be achieved in 2013 for players from:
- Africa, Americas, Asia and Oceania: 40 points plus the regional championships i.e. in the course of 2013, a player must achieve a total of 90 points including the regional championships
- Europe: 100 points plus the regional championships or 150 points
- The bonus of 20 points per tournament in each event outside the continent still applies
- A player must complete either the singles or team event in full or both for the tournament credit to be achieved
- If a player is injured or sick, the TD must get a medical assessment done by a doctor appointed by him or her
