Dear Regional Championships Organizers and TDs

For your information :

INAS situation and participation of the class 11 players in Regional Championships.

Please read the mail below send to the INAS-FID Table Tennis Responsible.

As IPTTC-INAS Representative, I can only suggest to each organizer to inform the countries who have send an intention to participate, that the class 11 players can ONLY be accepted as test event for observation, this means NOT officially, NO ranking points and NO medals possible !!!

The best should be to have some ID players in each Regional !, without participation, it will be very difficult to start our observations and to build a classification/eligibilty system for class 11 !

Hope this finally answer to your questions.

Nico

Dear Hitomi

Thank you for your email and I am copying Andy Parkinson and David Grevemberg of the IPC so that they can add clarity if necessary.

Firstly, Andy has sent to Jos the letter outlining the process from here. In summary, we need to have the names of your 2 experts for table tennis to work with IPTTC to develop the classification/eligibility system for table tennis. These names we need urgently. I would suggest that one should be a psychologist and the other a top level coach who has an ITTF coaching qualification. To see with INAS about the expenses for this people !

Secondly, in relation to the World Championships 2006 in Montreux, we cannot at this time say how many class 11 players will be allowed as we need to finalise the classification/eligibility system before that can be agreed. At this stage, INAS is not part of ANY IPTTC tournaments and will not be until we have finalised and agreed the classification/eligibility system. This applies also to Beijing - at the moment, INAS is therefore not part of table tennis for Beijing 2008.

In order for us to work together quickly and efficiently for the benefit of class 11 players, please send to Andy the names and qualifications of your 2 nominated experts in table tennis so that we can start to cooperate on the classification/eligibility system. Once we have these names, we can begin our work during the Regional Championships (ASP - AME - AMERICAS - EUROPE) and also during your WORLD INAS in Thouars. You have also to know that the ID players can only be accepted in the Regionals as test events (NOT officially, NO ranking points and NO medals) if, of course, the organizers agree to include the calss 11 players in the programme !

Hope this helps.

In terms of Thouars, for the sanction, we need to get final confirmation of what we can do from David and Andy.

Nico
